Super Bowl XLIII injury report: All’s fairly well has 0 comments

There was time for one more workout before the Cardinals and Steelers leave their homes and head to Tampa, Fla. Both teams practiced Saturday and reported to be in good shape health-wise.

According to azcardinals.com, Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt said the team will take “more of a focused look” at DE Travis LaBoy, who’s wearing a special brace on his injured bicep, during next week’s workouts to see how much he can play in Super Bowl XLIII. RB J.J. Arrington (knee), who didn’t practice all week, is expected to return next week.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported Steelers OT Max Starks (knee) practiced for the first time this week, albeit wearing a knee brace. LB Lawrence Timmons (illness) also returned after sitting out for two days, and C Justin Hartwig (knee) was limited. There was no word on WR Hines Ward (knee), who previously said he planned to rest this week and return to the practice field next week.

Both teams are scheduled to rest Sunday and fly to Tampa Monday.
