QB Delhomme ready to play against Falcons has 0 comments

The Cleveland Browns' offense could get a boost for Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Starting quarterback Jake Delhomme participated in practice all week and is as healthy as he's been since injuring his ankle in the season-opening loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Delhomme is confident he'll play.

Tailback Peyton Hillis, Cleveland's leading rusher, strained a thigh muscle while running a pass route on Thursday and was kept out of practice Friday. However, Hillis believes he will play Sunday.

Both players were listed as questionable on Friday's injury report. Starting center Alex Mack also is questionable with a shoulder injury. He missed two days of practice before returning Friday on a limited basis. Mack has started 20 straight games since being drafting by the Browns in 2009, but that streak could be in jeopardy.

The other questionable players are nose tackle Shaun Rogers (ankle, hip), defensive ends Robaire Smith (back) and Kenyon Coleman (knee) and safety Nick Sorensen (calf).

The Browns (1-3) beat the Cincinnati Bengals last week for their first win of the season.
