It apparently took New York Jets running back Shonn Greene just one game -- and two fumbles, a dropped pass and five lifeless carries -- to fall from his perch as the team's No. 1 running back.

Now, according to head coach Rex Ryan, Greene seems to be more like No. 1A. Ryan said Tuesday that Greene and LaDainian Tomlinson are both "the centerpiece" of the Jets' running game and he wants each back to get about 15 carries per week.
Tomlinson's 11 carries Monday night went for 62 yards. Greene had just five carries for 18 yards.
He didn't touch the ball after his second fumble of the game occurred with about 4 minutes left in the first half. "Both of them have big roles in this offense," Ryan said. "In one game, will one guy carry it more than the other? Absolutely. When we're going, you love to see these guys get at least 15 carries a piece. That's what you would like to see."
