Think the Colts quarterbacks are ready for the regular season? Colts quarterbacks Peyton Manning and Jim Sorgi combined for 404 passing yards and five touchdowns. For the Lions, wide receiver Shaun McDonald continued his strong preseason with four catches for 51 yards.
Five different Colts receivers had touchdown receptions as Reggie Wayne, Marvin Harrison, Craphonso Thorpe, Dallas Clark and Aaron Moorehead all reached the end zone. Colts first-round pick Anthony Gonzalez is still looking for his first touchdown.
Lions quarterback J.T. O'Sullivan worked exclusively for the Lions, completing 24-of-34 passes for 232 yards and a touchdown. O'Sullivan, the only healthy quarterback available for the Lions, also had two interceptions. The Lions were so depleted, the late George Plimpton would have been an option, had he been available. ... Lions WR Calvin Johnson had three receptions for 25 yards.
