Cowboys CB just 'trying to be funny' has 0 comments

Irving, TX --- Dallas Cowboys cornerback Terence Newman didn't back off his comments made on Sirius Satellite radio this week about going after Detroit quarterback Jon Kitna. But Friday he said the comments were in fun and not designed to be taken quite so literally. "I was really making more a joke out of it," Newman said. "I think I've blitzed maybe four times this year. It's not, 'Oh, I'm going to take his head off.' I was trying to be funny." The NFL didn't think it was too funny, as it sent a letter to him to warn him about such comments.
