Colts center Jeff Saturday questionable for opener has 5 comments

Indianapolis Colts Pro Bowl center Jeff Saturday is listed as questionable for Sunday's season opener against the Houston Texans, the team announced Friday.

Saturday -- who had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee last month -- is expected to play in the opener after practicing in full on Wednesday and Thursday.

Saturday isn't the Colts' only concern on their offensive line.

Starting left tackle Charlie Johnson is also listed as questionable for Week 1. This is a major issue for the Colts, who are hoping that Johnson will be in the lineup to protect Peyton Manning's blind side against former No. 1 overall pick Mario Williams.

Johnson sprained his right foot in practice Aug. 6 and didn't make it back onto the field until Wednesday. Four days after Johnson got hurt, Saturday had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee. Saturday, the anchor of Indy's line, didn't return until last week.

The Colts listed three other players as questionable for Sunday: LB Cody Glenn (hamstring), WR Anthony Gonzalez (back), and CB Jacob Lacey (head). Texans CB Antwaun Molden (ankle) is listed as doubtful.
