Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis will appear on the injury report as probable for this Sunday's 4 p.m. ET game against the New England Patriots, but coach Rex Ryan said don't let that fool you, Revis is going to play.

"Yes, probably but definite he'll play," Ryan said. "One of those deals."

In Thursday's practice, Revis was taken out after complaining of tightness in his left hamstring. He was limited as well on Friday. But Ryan has said Revis will be matched up against Patriots wide receiver Randy Moss.

Revis missed Jets training camp in Cortland, N.Y., and continued to sit out for preseason games in a contract holdout. He had been working out while away from the team, but arrived the first week of the regular season saying there was a difference between being in shape and being in football shape.

Last week in a loss to the Ravens, Ryan had Revis play the No. 2 receiver on the field, opting to put Antonio Cromartie and rookie Kyle Wilson on Anquan Boldin.

After the game Ryan said he should have put Revis on the strong side, but Friday Ryan said Revis may have played too many snaps on Monday night.

"I think that was probably the biggest factor to him tightening up," Ryan said. "Like I said, I expect him to go out and play great."

The Jets will need him to since he's expected to cover Moss. Revis held him to nine catches for 58 yards and a touchdown in two games last season.

Meanwhile, safety Brodney Pool was listed as questionable with a sprained right ankle. Signed as a free agent in the offseason, Pool also missed the opener against Baltimore with the injury.

"I feel good about him," Ryan said. "Brodney did a lot of work today, more work today than he had done [Thursday] and the previous days. So, I feel pretty good that he'll play."
