Bucs will not bring back Garcia has 0 comments

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers don't want Jeff Garcia anymore. At least that's what the quarterback is saying, according to a report Monday.

Bucs general manager Mark Dominik told Garcia's agent that the team will not bring back the veteran QB, Garcia said, according to a report on the St. Petersburg Times Web site.

Not retaining Garcia would be the latest of several big moves in a busy offseason for Tampa Bay. First, longtime defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin left to join his son at the University of Tennessee. Then Jon Gruden, who led the Bucs to a Super Bowl, was fired last month, before Raheem Morris, who briefly held the defensive coordinator post after Kiffin left, took over as head coach.

Garcia, 39, led Tampa Bay to the playoffs in 2007, but was part of the team's late collapse this past season.

In two seasons with the Bucs, he threw 25 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
