The Heisman Trophy Trust is expected to strip former University of Southern California star running back Reggie Bush of college football’s top honor by the end of September, sources told Yahoo! Sports.

Agents for holdout San Diego Chargers wide receiver Vincent Jackson claim they had a deal for the player worked out with another NFL team on Saturday, according to a report in The San Diego Union-Tribune.

The Arizona Cardinals have released quarterback Matt Leinart. Coach Ken Whisenhunt informed the former USC standout Saturday of the team's decision.
